ARMYs Figured Out Meaning Behind Jungkook’s Crossword Tattoo

BTS fans have some eagle eyes!

There’s been a lot of discussion around Jungkook and his mysterious, often-covered tattoos lately, and recently there has been another development into the theories behind them.

One of the tattoos, which appears to be a crossword, was shown on (somewhat) better display in the BTS‘s “ON” music video that was released on February 27. It took a bit of time, but fans now think they know the meaning behind this specific tattoo.

The tattoo has been hard to get a clear glimpse of before now, with only half-glimpses here and there of the elusive design. Fans have guessed the vertical lettering in the design to be “Rather be dead than cool”, which is a quote from the Nirvana song “Stay Away”.

Jungkook has mentioned how much he loves this phrase before, during a live stream back in April of 2018. He even claimed it was his life’s motto, so it makes sense why he would get it as a tattoo!

The horizontal lettering in the tattoo has been guessed to read “Make hay while the sun shines”. This is quoted from an old proverb, which urges listeners to seize the day and make the most of what you have. An appropriate phrase for the hard-working maknae!

Fans have caught glimpses of other tattoos on Jungkook’s hands and arms, but until he shows a more clear view of all of them, every ARMY is going to be left wondering just how many he has, and where!
