SM Entertainment reveals plans for SM Station replacement with a twist

SM Entertainment has confirmed that they have already begun preparing a new, upgraded version of SM Station.

If SM Station was considered fresh, then SM Station 2 will be unpredictable and feature international artists. After the release of “Curtain” by EXO‘s Suho accompanied by the hashtag #LASTSTATION, it was believed that this would be the end of SM STATION. However, it seems that this was signaling the end of the old STATION to give way to the new one.

SM Entertainment is looking to move towards unpredictable collaborations, possibly with international artists. The company does not want to restrict itself with only Korean artists. SM is determined to create fresh new collaborations with international artists, helping create a new global vision for the company and cement themselves as a leading company.

One SM official commented:

“Station has always been about trying new things, and it will continue to do that. Unpredictable collaborations are coming.”

While it is obviously unknown which international artists will be participating, fans may be able to expect collaborations similar to  Red Velvet‘s Wendy and Latin Pop star Ricky Martin collaboration.
