A Fan Account Had Convinced The Internet That Robert Pattinson Was BTS ARMY Too

The “borahaefication” of Batman?

Fandoms are colliding once again!

Robert Pattinson has had a huge fanbase for years since the popularity of The Twilight Saga.

Now, he has ARMYs by his side too?

A fan account SILVER (@reidsite on Twitter) for Robert Pattinson (and BTS) tweeted earlier today photos of the English actor allegedly at the premiere for his new film The Batman, spotlighting a new haircut.

ARMYs were stunned, recognizing the official BTS logo that appeared on the back of his head as the actor had shaved off half of his hair, leaving a little behind.

Many were quick to believe that Pattinson had intentionally gotten this hairstyle.

Nonetheless, some were suspicious. So, SILVER refuted the fake claims, claiming the photos were, in fact, real.

Yet, ARMYs showed up in the replies pulling out the receipts. The truth is that Robert Pattinson did (at one time) have a new haircut, but it was not exactly a BTS logo.

The photos are actually edited and from quite a while ago. He debuted the edgy haircut at the GO Campaign’s 7th Annual Go Go Gala in Beverley Hills in November 2014.

ARMYs confessed that until they checked the other replies, they had truly believed that Robert Pattinson’s BTS-inspired hairstyle was legit.

Some even declared that they were unliking and “taking back their retweet” since discovering the truth.

SILVER tweeted again since. They explained that the original post was simply a “social experiment.”

Until it was revealed that the edit was fake, ARMYs suggested he be friends with Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield as he recently went viral for a purple outfit. Fun fact: The two actors have actually been friends for years, along with Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), and Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts). Around 2009, Garfield, Cox, Dornan, and Redmayne were roommates, and Pattinson would visit.

The irony is that, unlike Pattinson’s viral BTS post, Garfield’s was deemed fake but actually authentic. Read about it below:

It would have genuinely been ironic if the Batman actor had been inspired by BTS in his style choice as one BTS member once revealed that the Dark Knight is his personal style icon. Read more below:
