Even though MONSTA X is well into its 5th year since debut, Shownu revealed that he doesn’t feel as if they have promoted for a long time. Although he cannot say that he feels exactly the same as he did when he was a rookie, he doesn’t feel that there is that much difference as how he goes about his activities.

Shownu also shared that all the members have much passion for what they do. Although he tries to have a goal in mind rather than worry about the future, due to the pandemic that’s affecting the world currently, he does feel positively enough about the fact that they are still able to prepare for online concerts and meet the fans through that way.

As the theme was 20th anniversary, Shownu doesn’t feel that there is anything that he would’ve done when he was 20 years old that he wouldn’t do now. However, he did jokingly pick pretending to be fresh and cute as something he wouldn’t do at this age! Shownu also revealed that in 20 years, he would love to still be active in the industry, and picked his senior, JYP, as well as American pop singer, Usher, as his benchmark for long-running success in the showbiz.

Even after 20 years, I would like to be active like Park Jinyoung sunbaenim and Usher.

Shownu shared that he thinks an amazing and successful person is someone that knows how to fight for their own happiness and loves themselves, as that type of person would be more passionate and work harder in life as well.

I think that someone who values their own happiness and has self-love, is really cool and someone that is successful. Those kind of people have passion and are hardworking in whatever they do.
