An alleged former middle school classmate of Kihyun has stepped forward to reveal the MONSTA X member’s bullying and school violence. In a detailed account of their middle school days, the alleged classmate explained, “As I kept seeing all the celebrities and victims speaking up on their experiences, I got the courage to write these words.

I am a victim of school violence that was perpetrated by MONSTA X’s Kihyun. We were in the same class during our last year of middle school. We graduated from Shinil Joong Middle School that’s in Gyeonggi-do province. We were in class 8 for our third year of middle school and our homeroom teacher was a female. Honestly, I was torn between whether or not I should share this story. It’s already been 10 years and he’s someone that I have no connections to anymore. I kept it deep inside, but as I kept seeing all the celebrities and victims speaking up on their experiences, I got the courage to write these words. To be honest, that friend was always talented and he was popular. He was one of those iljins (bullies with bad reputations.) He would call me and others like me ‘losers.’ I got bullied and hit. I had weird rumors tagged onto me that followed me around. My money was taken from me and I also had to buy cigarettes for him. He wasn’t as severe as other iljins, but there was a female classmate who was in our class that cried because he also hit her.

The alleged classmate attached a few photos as “proof” — including some of his PTSD treatment medication and old scars from self-harm in the past, which he stated were caused by his bullying trauma. He has since-deleted the sensitive pictures, saying that he “didn’t want to become a bad influence on other bully victims.”

A few years ago, there was a different classmate who wanted to share their story. These photos can be easily found online.

These next photos have circulated online before during a previous, separate allegation — which the alleged classmate also acknowledged.

In the first picture, look closely at Kihyun’s shirt. In the second photo on the very right, you can see a cigarette in his hand. I don’t have to explain the rest, right? I asked a friend from middle school to look up the photos from Cyworld (Korean social media.) I acknowledge my faults in posting these photos and rumors without an explanation. There were a lot of people cursing me out, calling me a crazy b**ch, but I don’t care. I want an apology from him, but if he doesn’t apologize… I also don’t care. This was in 2009, which was 7 years ago when we were graduating from our last year of middle school.

The alleged classmate ended his post with a firm statement on those who claim the story is a lie.

You think it’s a lie? You can think of it however you want. Legal response? If you want to, go ahead. Defamation by facts? I will pay the fine. If it comes to that, I will go to my psychiatrist and ask for my session proof. I will see you then. I will call my friend, who was previously hit by him and ask them to be a witness.
