Lee Min Ho Reunites With Writer Kim Eun Sook For His Comeback Drama

He is back.

Actor Lee Min Ho has been confirmed for his comeback drama, and it will reunite him with writer Kim Eun Sook, who was also the writer for SBS‘s mega hit drama The Heirs.

Kim Eun Sook’s newest work will be called The King: Forever the Monarch and is set to be broadcast in the first half of 2020.

Hwa&Dam Pictures, which is also Kim Eun Sook’s agency, shared why they cast Lee Min Ho for their new drama.
This is the second time we will be working together, after The Heirs. He is an actor we have so much trust in. You will be able to meet a more mature and profound Lee Min Ho through The King: Forever the Monarch.

The King: Forever the Monarch will deal with the idea of parallel worlds, an idea that is rarely seen in dramas today. A God set a devil free in the human world, which opened up a door to the parallel world.
The specifics regarding broadcast, such as the airing channel and broadcast date have not been decided yet. However, since the production team and the male lead have been determined, filming is set to begin in the second half of 2019.
