It has been officially announced that after seven years, BEAST will be losing one of its member with Hyunseung withdrawing from the group.
On the afternoon of April 19th, Cube Entertainment delivered the news to the media in the form of a press release, declaring that as of today, BEAST will continue on as a 5-member group without Hyunseung. Additionally, they reveal that Hyunseung will continue his career as a solo artist.
Over the past few months, Hyunseung has been in controversial and hot debates regarding his alleged attitude problems and skipping out on fan meetings, causing netizens to plead for him to leave the group. Despite Cube Entertainment’s denial of Hyunseung’s withdrawal rumors back in September 2015, it seems the latter will continue as a soloist under the agency.
The press release can be read below:
Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.
We would like to thank the fans who have loved BEAST, and we would like to pass on this news.
As of today, Jang Hyunseung has withdrawn from the team and the group will be reorganized as a 5-member team consisting of Yoon Doojoon, Lee Kikwang, Yang Yoseob, Yong Junhyung and Son Dongwoon. Jang Hyunseung would like to concentrate on his personal music as a solo artist and not as a member of BEAST in the future.
Jang Hyunseung and the other members have been consulting and discussing this the company in regards to making changes to the team schedule as they began to have personality differences in regards to different opinions on music. After careful and long consideration, the members agreed that would part with Jang Hyunseung and the group reorganized.
For the past 7 years, BEAST has continued to work hard without rest for fans with the common goal of reaching the top. This decision was not easy for neither the group or company.
The 5-member group BEAST is getting ready to release a new album in 2016 with plans of both domestic and overseas schedule. Please continue to support and show interest in BEAST and Jang Hyunseung who will do their best in their positions.
