BTS, TWICE, IU And More Reign On Gallup Korea’s Top Artists Of 2018

Gallup Korea announced which top artists shined the brightest in 2018.

Gallup Korea, one of the most well-established research companies in Korea, announced their list of top Korean artists who were the most successful in 2018.

 

The survey asked 4,200 participants ranging from 13 to 59 years old to list three of their most favorite artists/groups that promoted this year. BTS took 1st, TWICE 2nd, IU 3rd, Hong Jin Young 4th, Wanna One 5th, Red Velvet 6th, BLACKPINK 7th, Jang Yoon Jung 8th, Lee Seung Chul 9th, and Jo Yong Pil 10th.

 

Out of the multiple age groups, BTS was listed as the most favorited artist from participants ranging from teens, 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. The 50’s age group named Jang Yoon Jung as the most favorite artist.

 

TWICE and IU were the next favorited artist among the teens, 20’s, and 30’s.

 

Gallup Korea also took a survey to see which idols were the most popular among the ages of 13 to 29. BTS’s Jimin took 1st, BLACKPINK’s Jennie took 2nd, IU took 3rd, and more popular idols followed!

 

When separated by gender, Red Velvet’s Irene and IU were the most popular among the males, while BTS’s Jimin reigned as the most popular idol among the females!

 

Lastly, Gallup Korea took a survey to see which song received the most love in 2018. BTS’s ‘IDOL’ and BLACKPINK’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ took first among the 30’s and below!
