Previously, Park Yoochun shocked the nation when it was revealed that he was facing several sexual assault allegations, as well as drug charges. The public was quick to turn their backs on the former boy group member when the news of his numerous scandals broke. With the termination of his exclusive C-JeS Entertainment contract, Park Yoochun announced his retirement from the industry. It wasn’t too long after his retirement news, however, that he decided to make a return with the release of a photobook, as well as a new album. Both news were met with extreme backlash, which is why the response to the news of his YouTube channel is not surprising.
