Former B.A.P’s Himchan Posts Apology Regarding Sexual Assault Case

He apologized to all those that believed and waited for him.

Back in 2018, former B.A.P’s Himchan was reportedly charged with sexual assault of a woman in her twenties. The woman claimed that he sexually assaulted her while hanging out with other friends.

Earlier this year, the Seoul Central District Court sentenced him to 10 months in prison and 40 hours of sexual violence treatment. Previously, Himchan admitted to contact with the victim but denied molestation.

Most recently, Himchan posted a message of apology and thanks to the people that stood by him throughout the case.

Hello this is Kim Himchan. First of all, I am sorry for speaking about this late. Although I am late, I am writing this to apologize. I would like to express my apologies to all those who believed in me and waited for me regarding all my actions. There are many reasons for speaking up late, but because there are a lot of articles and stories that are different from the truth, I decided to spare my words. I apologize for causing concern regarding various incidents. I also know about my negligence and mistakes and I apologize about everything. I hope that everyone is happy. I hope that you can forgive me for not being able to repay the people who have believed me until now. I am sorry and sorry again. I hope that everyone lives happy without any accidents. Good bye. Thank you for everything.

Himchan debuted under B.A.P in 2012 with TS Entertainment. The group unfortunately disbanded in February of 2019
