Car Hauling Trailer Loses Control, Causing A Massive 12-Car Accident Killing 3 People

On the morning of July 20, a car hauling trailer loaded with 6 cars collided with numerous vehicles, causing a massive accident in Yeosu Jeollanam-do. The accident occurred when the trailer began speeding down a street while attempting to make a lane change. Due to the high speed that the trailer was descending at, the driver was unable to regain control of the truck, resulting in a collision — with 12 other vehicles.

In this dash cam footage, viewers can see the impact of the collision hurling the other vehicles into a crosswalk where pedestrians were crossing. It was reported by numerous different Korean news sites that 10 people have been seriously injured, while 3 pedestrians have been killed.

Witness testimonies stated that the scene of the accident was gruesome, as numerous cars and bodies laid across the entire 5-lane street.

According to MBC News, the authorities have begun to investigate the cause of the accident. It was during the police investigation that the driver responsible made claims that the brakes on their car hauling trailer failed to work as it sped down the street.

Numerous reports predict that the death toll will rise due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained by the victims, who are currently in the hospital receiving treatment.
