BTS’s Jungkook Has A Favorite “Haikyuu!!” Character… And It’s His Anime Lookalike

The resemblance is uncanny!

Although BTS‘s Jungkook is currently quarantined in America after testing positive for COVID-19, he is spending his time reassuring his fans that he’s okay and, at the same time, relieving his boredom in the most entertaining way possible… Instagram Q&As.

Jungkook has been continually posting to his Instagram stories, encouraging fans to ask him questions that he can reply to. And through these recent Instagram Q&As, fans have learned everything from whether or not we might see actor Jungkook sometime soon…

Question: “Oppa, your acting in House of ARMY was so good, why doesn’t oppa appear [in dramas]?” Answer: “#ReallyQuestionMarkDirectorsWillYouTryUsingMe” | @jungkook.97/Instagram
… To how many Netflix shows he has already seen (and which ones he’d want to watch again).

And Jungkook even demonstrated his immense maturity as he responded to a hate comment he received.

One other type of question that Jungkook encouraged from fans was for them to suggest options so he could play “the balance game.” The balance game is a pretty simple game where you are presented with two options and have to choose between them. Like when a fan asked Jungkook to choose between two K-Dramas he liked, Twenty Five Twenty One and Business Proposal.

One of the questions a fan gave for the balance game was picking between two of the main characters in the popular anime Haikyuu!!.

Haikyuu!! is an anime that focuses on a high school volleyball team. The main character Shoyo Hinata always dreamed of having a volleyball team and is excited at the opportunity to play at his high school. What he lacks in proper experience, he makes up for in his determination and raw talent.

The other main character, Tobio Kageyama, is an extremely talented and passionate volleyball player who is known for being cold towards his teammates, expecting them to be able to keep up with him.

Although the two main characters have very opposite personalities, over time, they work together to become an infamous duo on the court.

Since the anime is very popular, fans were naturally excited that Jungkook had to choose his favorite between Hinata and Kageyama.

Ah this is hard… for me… ah… Kageyama?

And while Jungkook admitted that it was a hard choice… No one was surprised he picked Kageyama.

Ironically, the day before Jungkook answered the question, fans had made an edit of Jungkook as the voice actor for Kageyama.

Since fans have always suggested that Jungkook and Kageyama look incredibly similar.

Fans are shocked even by the resemblances in their childhood selves.

And not only are fans convinced that Jungkook is Kageyama’s look alike…

But they are also convinced that Jungkook and Jimin together look like the iconic duo of Kageyama and Hinata.

Especially since Jungkook and Jimin have even acted out scenes of the popular anime before.

Some fans are even joking that if Jungkook voicing his preference for Kageyama happened in the Haikyuu!! story, Hinata would be devastated even if Kageyama wasn’t likely to be aware.

And while not everyone is familiar with Haikyuu!!

Fans who are familiar with the anime couldn’t be more excited to have the two fandoms uniting.
