BTS’s Jimin Snags Top Place For Boy Group Individual Brand Reputation For The 20th Month In A Row

He receives 80% positive responses online.

BTS‘s Jimin came in first place yet again, for August 2020’s Boy Group Individual Brand Reputation for the 20th month in a row.

Every month, the Korea Research Institute For Brand Reputation releases a report on the brand reputations of idol members as a group and individual. This month, the top places were snagged by Jimin in first place, his bandmate Jungkook in second, Highlight‘s Yoon Dujun in third, and V in fourth. The rest of the BTS members come in at 6th for Suga, 7th for Jin and 10th and 12th respectively for J-Hope and RM, all very respectably high chartings.

Jimin first took the top spot in January of 2019, and has since been holding tight onto the position. The brand reputation rankings are determined by social media and media outlet representation, consumer preferences and representatives of the various industries, coming together to form a cumulative score.

For Jimin himself, the related search words that ranked highest for him include prize-winning, donation and publishing. Delving in deeper, his solo songs, “Filter” and “Promise” ranked high alongside the search words, as well as Run! BTS. As for positive vs. negative searches, he came out with a 8:2 ratio.

In other news, his high rankings and related searches probably are due to the diligence of his fans as well, as they recently donated to flood victims in South Korea, as well as for the current ongoing crisis in Lebanon. Furthermore, Jimin’s solo songs have seen success, with “Filter” hitting over 70 million streams in just 170 days on Spotify.
