BTS’s J-Hope Drops “Arson” Concept Photos

These may be his darkest photos yet.

BTS‘s J-Hope has released additional Jack In The Box concept photos ahead of the album’s release on July 15.

J-Hope has already shared with fans that his new album will have a darker concept than his previous release, Hope World. BIG HIT MUSIC corroborated J-Hope’s statement in a post announcing J-Hope as the first member to carry out solo activities at the start of BTS’s new chapter,

J-Hope’s solo album, as expressed in the title of the album ‘Jack In The Box,’ represents his aspirations to break the mold and grow further. Starting with his pre-released track to be released on July 1st, diverse content to show J-Hope’s creative identity as an artist will be introduced. J-Hope’s first teaser photo for Jack In The Box gave fans their first glimpse at the darker concept, showing J-Hope’s silhouette standing in an old hallway.

He then released more photos, where you could see his dark makeup and fake nose bridge piercing, showing more of an edgy style.

The next set of teaser photos was a little brighter but still gave off an equally creepy vibe as people stood in the background with faces that appeared to be deformed.

The photos switch between an office setting and a workshop.

In the following set of photos, J-Hope is back in his black jumpsuit and is seen in a hospital bed with his vitals being monitored.

This all led to the new photos he posted today. J-Hope posted two of his new concept photos on Instagram along with the ominous caption, “I burned it all.”

J-Hope appears in a charred jumpsuit with soot covering his face. Scaffolding is collapsed in the background, and in the second photo, there appears to be a car with its trunk open behind J-Hope.

Additional photos were posted on Weverse, where the hashtag, #jhope_Arson, was added, indicating it’s for J-Hope’s upcoming track “방화 (Arson).”

In the photos, J-Hope’s wearing the same white jumpsuit and beaded necklace from the “MORE” music video while a car scorches behind him.
