It seems as if all ARMYs can talk about at the moment are the friendship tattoos BTS has been talking about for a few months. Every time the members have an appearance, ARMYs are always trying to see if they spot some new ink and specifically if it’s the “friendship tattoo.”

Earlier in the year, V was the first member to talk about the group planning to have matching tattoos while answering a fan on Weverse.

ARMY: Don’t get a tattoo!!!!!!!!!!

V: That’s something I’ll decide on my own, and the members and I always talked about getting a friendship tattoo. We’re going to get a friendship tattoo one day. Look forward to it 🥰🥰

Leader RM was the first to reveal his after sharing a picture of his ankle with a small seven.

Since the reveal, fans have wondered if all the members have had them done and, more importantly, where! It seems like J-Hope has finally debuted his first-ever tattoo in a recent Instagram post.

On June 15 (KST), J-Hope posted a set of images on his Instagram with the caption, “Yet To Come,” referring to the group’s latest music video from their album PROOF. In the photos, J-Hope shared pictures from the music video shooting.

Yet, the first photo stood out the most because it was very different from the others. It showed a small “7,” and it seems to be J-Hope’s friendship tattoo right above his ankle.

When the members of BTS were doing their prerecording for the music show Inkigayo, Korean ARMYs shared that J-Hope had shared his tattoo with them while they weren’t performing. However, this is the first time most ARMYs will have had a chance to see the tattoo in all its glory.

Many also now think that there might be a pattern to the designs, linking to the individual handwriting of each member from Map of the Soul: 7.

Considering that the members recently announced they would be focusing on solo ventures for a while, the reveal of the “7” tattoo seemed extremely meaningful, showing that BTS will always be there. It meant that ARMYs were unsurprisingly excited and emotional when they saw the images.

In particular, compared to Jungkook and Jimin, it would’ve been a massive deal for J-Hope as it’s his first tattoo. V also revealed that the importance of the friendship tattoo and where to have it led to the fact that he hasn’t had his done yet.

It seems as if BTS is slowly revealing their tattoos, and because they have the same design and so far, both J-Hope and RM have it in the same place hits differently. With everything going on, it is a reminder that no matter what happens, BTS is always “7” and will continue being there for each other and ARMYs.
