BTS Forgot That They’re Royalty…But KBS Definitely Did Not

The duality between BTS’s status and their personalities has never been stronger.

With millions of fans and albums sold, BTS‘s members are celebrity royalty, but they’re still as down to earth as ever.

On September 10, BTS appeared on KBS News9 to discuss their history-making single, “Dynamite”, their future aspirations, the COVID-19 pandemic, and more. This wasn’t an ordinary interview, however. It was an event.

KBS World live-streamed BTS’s arrival, their guided tour of the news station, and their departure in a video that lasted nearly two hours. Outside the station, security staff members guarded barriers…

…and dozens of reporters gathered to catch a glimpse of the grand entrance.

A fleet of police motorcycles escorted BTS’s vehicles to the station…

…where they were welcomed like the VIPs they are.

Fans have compared the fanfare to a presidential welcome or a royal wedding.

This kind of welcome is reserved for the elite, but BTS are still the same “humble kings” they were when they debuted. While walking around the station, RM and Jin were in awe of it.

They felt like superstars, but newsflash, they are superstars!
