This week, “Stay” by BTS’s fellow company artists The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber spends its second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after significantly ascending the previous week.

According to MRC Data, for the week ending on August 12, its radio airplay was up 26%, drawing 40.5 million audience impressions. U.S. streams were up 3%, with 31.8 million. However, downloads were down 12%, with 12,700 sold.

This week, BTS’s “Butter” descended from No.4 to No.7 after being at the top of the chart for 9 weeks. While Digital Song Sales went down 20% (62,900), it continued to be the top-selling song this week with “Permission to Dance” at No.2.

“Butter” remains to be the longest-leading No. 1 single of 2021 at 9 weeks. It now ties with PSY‘s “Gangnam Style” as the second song by a Korean act with the most weeks in the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 chart (12 weeks).

“Dynamite” holds the record with 13 weeks, making “Butter” BTS’s second-longest-running top ten single. BTS is the No.1 Korean act with most weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with 94 weeks.

Additionally, BTS’s Japanese-language album BTS, The Best debuted at No.19 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart with over 20,000 sold. It’s this week’s fifth top-selling album.

While “Butter” did descend on the charts this week, ARMY is excited to see it remain in the top 10 of the Hot 100 for yet another week. Besides, being No.7? 7 is our lucky number, after all!

To celebrate, ARMY is trending #ButterStableQueen on Twitter.
