BTS’s 3rd Music Video With 700 Million Views

BTS amasses yet another 700 million view milestone.

BTS is once again adding to their impressive resume and bolstering their place as one of K-Pop’s greatest acts with the announcement of their third music video to reach 700 million views. “Fake Love” reached the milestone the evening of May 24 and joined their other top hits “DNA” (989 million views) and “Boy With Love” (787 million views) as their most viewed music videos of all time.

“Fake Love” was released in 2018 as the title track of their album Love Yourself: Tear. It marked the first time the group entered the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at the 10th spot. The rap-rock song is about thinking one is in a meaningful relationship only to find out that everything was fake all along. The music video follows the style of many of BTS’s previous videos with its metaphorical use of scenes and images and its storytelling structure. Its dance also became an internet sensation, and it’s become a cult favorite amongst K-Pop and non-K-Pop fans alike.

Following the act of several other K-Pop artists, BTS will be holding a virtual concert series on June 14 to continue to connect with their fans during the coronavirus outbreak.
