BLACKPINK’s Rosé Shares A Wise Answer On How She Measures Her Success

“…as long as I’m satisfied…”

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé gave a very wise answer when she was asked about her success. Rosé recently shot a pictorial for Elle Korea. Not only did she serve looks with an amazing photoshoot, but she also sat down for an interview.

Having recently concluded her promotions for solo album, R, Rosé talked about the records “On The Ground” broke musically. Not only did R sell over 500,000 copies in pre-sales, but “On The Ground” also entered the global Billboard charts, taking the top spot. Rosé shared her thoughts about the achievement.

I honestly felt largely embarrassed about it. That’s because I thought it was rather lacking, as much as it’s my first solo promotions. Even so, I’m so grateful to have received much love. If another chance comes by, I will be able to promote both more enjoyably as well as with more flexibility.

With regards to her success both as part of the group and as a solo, Rosé had a simple answer.

I think that as long as I;m satisfied with the end product when I look at it myself, it can be considered a success in itself already. The reason being, only if you aren’t burdened by the term ‘success’, then you will be able to enjoy the step that comes next as well.

Rosé’s cover and interview for Elle Korea will be out in stores on its June issue.
