As if it wasn’t enough that ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo had already stolen the show at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards with his god-tier looks, he also managed to become the winner of the Emotive Award in the acting category alongside his True Beauty costar Moon Gayoung.
Cha Eunwoo has made a name for himself as an actor, starring in many extremely well-received K-Dramas including My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung, and most recently, True Beauty. In fact, he now has so much drawing power that many people watched this year’s popular drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha thinking he was a member of the cast, only to find that he wasn’t in it!
This new award proves that Cha Eunwoo has been growing as an artist and that his hard work is paying off. His performance with Moon Gayoung portrayed a very sweet and genuine relationship that had everyone’s hearts melting, making True Beauty a huge success.
Cha Eunwoo commented that it was new to him to receive such an award in front of his members, yet the warm support he received from them was touching to see, with Moonbin even holding up a sign on his phone that said, “Cha Eunwoo, I love you.”

But the night didn’t end there for Cha Eunwoo, as ASTRO also gave an impressive performance of their songs “Waterfall” and “After Midnight,” showing off their range as vocalists and dance performers. The group went on to win an award for Best Musician at this year’s ceremony, proving that they are noteworthy performers and that Cha Eunwoo, as a singer, dancer and actor, is therefore a well-rounded artist.
All in all, it was a very successful night for Cha Eunwoo. He’s come very far, and we’re excited to see what he’ll do next!
