Seohyun confirmed to join the star-studded lineup of SBS drama “Moon Lovers”

Another female idol is joining the lineup of the upcoming SBS drama Moon Lovers, which is based of a Chinese novel Bu Bu Jing Xin.

According to an exclusive report by media portal Ilgan Sports, Girls’ Generation member Seohyun is joining the cast alongside already confirmed SM Entertainment idol and EXO member Baekhyun, who is making his drama debut as one of the many princes. The drama boasts an A-list lineup with many flower-boy actors joining such as Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Ji Soo.

While female songstress IU will be playing the female lead with Lee Jun Ki as the male lead, Seohyun’s role will be that of the princess, in particular, the last princess of the Later Baekj kingdom. Disguised as a dancer, she attracts the attention of many aristocrats but continues to remain to herself.

This will be Seohyun’s first drama since her appearance in the 2013 drama Passionate Love as her subsequent roles were cameos.

The drama is set to be pre-produced and aired in the second half of the year, most likely September.

[+1067, -25] At this point, this is an idol drama with Lee Jun Ki being thrown in it..

[+1025, -26] Ah.. Lee Jun Ki ㅠㅠ Lee Jun Ki going to be acting all alone

[+922, -23] Lee Jun Ki, what the hell? Dramas like ‘Scholar Who Walks the Night’ are good, but it’s so weird that he’s embracing people younger than himself.
