Eating These 5 Foods Will Make You Feel Like The 10th Member of TWICE, Yum!

Are you hungry, ONCEs?

We all know certain TWICE members (*cough* Momo *cough*) have a…deep love for food.

But have you ever eaten any of the TWICE food staples?

If you haven’t, fear not! We’re done the legwork and have compiled a list of things that TWICE has been known to enjoy when it comes to food:

1) Jokbal (Momo’s favorite food)

Jokbal is a classic Korean dish that is made from pig’s feet that is usually cooked in soy sauce and other spices. It is also braised in a combination of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and rice wine for additional flavors. Jokbal is also considered an anju (food normally paired with alcohol), so it is usually served with a bottle of soju.

While the dish does take a long time to make (an hour and 45 minutes!), it is relatively simple to make, and can be topped with any sort of spicy sauce for that extra “kick”.

We’d definitely recommend trying it out if you’d like to eat just like Momo!

2) Ramen (TWICE’s go-to “quick meal” food)

Ramen is a signature Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth while also being flavored with soy sauce or miso. Sliced pork, dried seaweed, menma, and green onions are usually added for additional flavor.

One of the easiest things to make on this list, TWICE is well known for snacking on ramen when needing to eat quickly or when they are on the go.

The reason?

It’s simple, easy, and fast to make with minimal kitchen cleanup.

It’s even better if you can snag the instant ramen noodles (also known as ramyeon in Korea) because all you have to do is add hot water and you’re done!

So if you’re in a hurry or don’t have time for a full blown meal, TWICE’s “snack dinner” is the way to go!

3) Kimbamp (Tzuyu’s favorite Korean food)

Kimbap is a Korean dish made from cooked rice and other ingredients that are rolled in dried sheets of nori seaweed – and then cut in bite-sized slices. Due to its portability, kimbap is a staple when planning a packed lunch.

Besides vegetables, food items such as cheese, spicy cooked squid, kimchi, meat, or spicy tuna can also be added. Adding sesame oil or sprinkling the kimbap with sesame seeds is also common.

To make things even cooler, Tzuyu hosted a V-Live where she showed ONCEs how to make her favorite kimbap!

So try your hand at it and pretend you’re eating with Tzuyu!

4) Belgian Waffles (TWICE food truck food)

While we don’t know if Dahyun and Sana have Belgian waffles as their #1 snack food of choice, they sure look like they are enjoying having them in their hands!

Belgian waffles actually originated in the US, and not Belgium. However, they were inspired by the waffles from Brussels, which eventually led to their own variant.

Waffles are dishes made from leavened batter or dough that is cooked between two plates that are patterned to give a characteristic size, shape, and surface impressions.

Recipes for Belgian waffles are typically baking soda leavened, though some are yeast-raised. They are distinguished from standard American waffles by their use of 1.5 in/3.81 cm depth irons.

Sana and Dahyun seem to love them so much, they even had a little fun with them before finally eating them!

5) Canadian Ice Cream (as seen in the “Likey” MV)

When TWICE was seen in an ice cream shop during the “Likey” MV, of course ONCEs wanted to know where the shop was located so they could visit themselves.

However, due to the location being based in Canada, (specifically, it’s called Ocean Rock Bistro in White Rock, Canada), ONCEs wondered how to get the same “taste” of ice cream that TWICE was able to eat while shooting the MV.

While not the exact same, we  recommend Chapman’s and Maypole ice cream brands if you wan that Canadian ice cream flavor, as those two of the are the biggest ice cream brands in Canada (and their products are sold in supermarkets).

Happy eating, ONCEs!
