One of the worst things that K-Pop idols have to deal with is stalkers. A lot of times, these stalkers will be obsessed “fans”, but there are also times where idols will get stalked by random people. Here’s a list of 4 times when K-Pop idols were the victims of stalking.
1. Former Hello Venus member Kwon Nara dealing with a dangerous stalker
During an episode of Happy Together, Kwon Nara revealed that she has been a victim of stalking many times. One time, she was walking home when she felt as if someone was following her.
Kwon Nara eventually decided to look back and saw that she was being followed by a man wearing a hat.
Not only that, but this man was also armed with a knife. Kwon Nara was able to get away from this person and called her father, who immediately came to her aid.
2. Lovelyz’s Jisoo getting followed on her way to a pilates class
During a live broadcast, Jisoo revealed a story of a time when she got followed by a man on her way to a pilates class. Jisoo shared that she was taking a bus to her pilates class when she noticed a man who kept transferring with her. Not only that, but this man also kept sitting next to her and staring at her as well. This man soon told Jisoo that he was a fan, and she didn’t know what to do.
He said he was my fan. I didn’t know what to do.
Jisoo soon asked the man where he was going, but he was unable to answer her.
He stuttered and couldn’t answer my question.
Jisoo eventually was able to meet up with her friends, and the man quit following her. Jisoo concluded by asking fans to not do things like this.
I’m thankful that you’re our fans and you shower us with lots of love… but please don’t do that.
3. Former Ladies’ Code member Ashley Choi getting followed on her way to her dorm
When Ashley Choi was living in a dorm with the Ladies’ Code members, she once got followed by a man when she was going to the dorm. She revealed that this man followed her all the way to the dorm’s door. Ashley Choi was surprised by this and asked the man, “Ajusshi, what’s wrong with you!”
However, the man didn’t give a clear response. Ashley Choi was frightened and didn’t know what to do.
Ashley Choi then acted quickly and made a run for her dorm’s door. She put in the password for the dorm as fast as she could, opened the door, and shut it quickly. When she got in, she tearfully told her members that she got followed home.
Unfortunately, this man wasn’t caught since he was wearing a hat, and there was no way to identify him.
4. BTS Jungkook’s encounter with a sasaeng fan at the 2019 Golden Disc Awards
During the 2019 Golden Disc Awards, Jungkook showed a shocked facial expression when he saw a certain someone in the crowd.
It turns out that the person he saw was a sasaeng fan by the name of Carrot Nuna. This person is actually blacklisted by BTS’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, as she has stalked the members on multiple occasions.
