Bullying is something that no person should have to go through, but throughout the years, more K-Pop idols have been coming out and revealing their experiences with getting bullied. Here’s a list of a few female K-Pop idols who have spoken about getting bullied by their group members.

1. Cheska (Former member of Fiestar)

Cheska

In early 2020, Cheska held a live stream on her Twitch channel and revealed some interesting details about her time in Fiestar. She revealed that she had been bullied by members Yezi and Jei on multiple occasions.

Cheska also mentioned how the members would fight over nothing, and seemingly never reconcile with each other.

We would fight for like, the stupidest reasons, like, uh, from misunderstanding each other.

So I’d always be the one who would go up to them and be like ‘I think we misunderstood each other, I’m sorry for misunderstanding you. They would never say sorry to me. I would always be like I’m sorry for this, and they’d be like ‘ok’. Like they wouldn’t talk to me at all.

And then I’d be like, I feel like we should talk more, I feel like we should communicate more, cause for me, I feel like communicating is like, the number one solution to problems, so I’d be like ‘I think we should communicate’ and the person would be like ‘no. I don’t want to talk to you’. That’s what they’d be like, ‘we have nothing to talk about, I have nothing to talk about with you,’ and I’m over here like ‘what, we have so much to talk about cause we misunderstood each other’.

She also revealed that pretty much all the members except for Yezi and Jei got bullied in the group.

Linzy is pretty. Linzy was nice, but she also got bullied a few times, like I have.

Everyone got bullied once or twice, except for Yezi and Jei.

2. Lee Jihye (Former member of S#ARP)

Lee Jihye

S#ARP was a group that was created by member Seo Jiyoung‘s family, who at the time was one of the wealthiest families in the industry. It was also revealed that Seo Jiyoung wasn’t happy when Lee Jihye was added to the group.

During their time together in S#ARP, Seo Jiyoung would bully Lee Jihye daily, and would even invite family members to torment her as well. The group ended up disbanding in 2002 due to all of this, and Seo Jiyoung tried to pay off their manager to lie about the bullying. However, the manager refused the offer and exposed Seo Jiyoung for her actions.

3. Minah (Former member of ILUV)

Minah originally debuted as a member of ILUV in 2019, but the group is currently being revamped to debut with more members. The group will now go by the name BOTOPASS and is set to debut on August 4. Minah recently came out and revealed that she had been bullied by several members of the group.

Minah also shared how the bullying caused her to have multiple health problems.

As you all know, I have depression, panic disorder, and insomnia. The reason for suffering from depression, panic disorder, and insomnia is that they have gone through unfair and painful things.

Because there were people who made me sick and tormented me to live in hell.

— Minah

It got to the point where Minah attempted suicide.

I went to the Han Gang River at dawn and was thinking bad things and the police saved me. I won’t forget.

Thank you very much, police officer, who is a cousin of SHINee’s Taemin. Thank you for comforting my mom. I’ll say thank you when I get healthy.

— Minah

Minah is now demanding that both the agency and members apologize to her for their actions.

I posted a message two days ago and a lot of people contacted me. Thank you so much for your concern… Thank you very much. I'm sorry I haven't finished your reply yet. It's my first time to experience a hot phone. Many people are asking if we ate. Many people asked me if I was okay now. I still can't eat it. I am currently 36kg. One thing I can tell you is that I got a call from the company asking me to keep it a secret. I don't know why I have to keep it a secret. Shouldn't you apologize? I want to be apologized to the people who gave me a hard time. They're probably watching this secretly. Think about it if you have a conscience. I'm dying. I know you're watching secretly. Don't hide.

WKS ENE Entertainment, which the company that ILUV was a part of, and is the one that BOTOPASS will be debuting in, soon made a statement refuting Minah’s claims.

However, this is Minah spreading falsehoods and exaggeration, that caused damage in reputation to our existing artists as well as the members preparing for debut.

However, it didn’t take long for Minah to respond to the company after they said that her statements were false.

Does it end when I die? Do you believe me when I die? I wasn't going to sns, but I was angry because the company posted a false article. My depression, panic disorder, and insomnia were caused by the members bothering me. Everyone in the company knows. Don't pretend you don't know. You told me not to be active until fall. Stop lying. Please. Shall we disclose the contents of the certificate? Can you handle it? Did you think I'd sign the confidentiality agreement? Why should I keep it a secret? Are you afraid I'll tell you everything? Because what I said was true, you sent me a memorandum of confidentiality. I'm powerless, I can't make news, and I talk here. For your information, Soo-yeon is mentioned in the news. It's not Sooyeon. I never said her.
