Netizens harshly criticize Ailee for sexy photoshoot citing past nude leak

Korean men’s magazine, GQ, revealed teaser images of Ailee from their latest issue that immediately caught netizens’ eyes and resulted in some extremely harsh criticisms of the artist.

The magazine’s latest issue will feature not only Ailee, but also Han Goeun, Kim Goeun, Park Hasun, Lee Yunjung, Han Groo. Each of the artists are seen posting with a phrase that expressed their emotions at the time of the shoot. However, netizens honed in specifically on Ailee’s photo and posted their disappointment at the shoot.

In her picture, Ailee is topless covered by a catalogue, with the artist revealing her honest feelings saying, “There are people who like this side of me and there are people who like a different side of me. I don’t want myself or my fans to get too used to a single side of me. So I don’t want to focus on showing only one side of myself.”

Netizens however, did not take kindly to this new photo by Ailee referencing her past nude leak, which was illegally released through an international media site by an alleged ex-boyfriend of the artist.

Most netizens criticized Ailee for her decision to take the topless picture with comments such as:

1. [+ 684, – 19] It would have be best for her not to start stripping..her singing is enough..and i hasn’t been that long since her nude picture scandal..what is her agency thinking??

2. [+ 414, – 77] What a shameless foreing bitch. Did you catch the culprit yet? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+ 303, -18] Well i’ve already seen it all…not curious

However, international netizens were quick to point out that the shoot has nothing to do with her past leak, and that she is only taking control of her body and showing how proud she is of it. The top comments on Netizenbuzz reads as follows:

1. [+148] I don’t think it’s careless or a mistake. I take it more as art than trying to be sexy. She looks beautiful. She’s a strong woman from what I can see. She’s not letting what happened knock her down.

2. [+70] So bc she was a victim of something terrible now she can never be proud of her body or sexuality again.

3. [+51] The difference is CONSENT. CONSEEEENT. Repeat after me, consent is the difference.
