EXO and WINNER go head to head in battle of 2015 comebacks

Even before the start of the new year, idol groups EXO and WINNER are already getting fans hyped up for their 2015 comeback with teaser images and video releases!

On December 4th, during the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong, EXO was the first group to hint at their 2015 comeback. After performing special stages to their songs “Black Pearl,” “Tell Me What is Love,” “Deep Breath,” and “Overdose,” the fans excitement grew as the teaser was shown. The ten marbles seen rolling out the are said to be representing the EXO members, while the other two marbles are said to be symbolizing the fans’ hearts.

YG Entertainment was next in raising anticipation for a 2015 comeback after posting a simple teaser image via Twitter on December 6th. The picture had a black banner background with the words “WWIC 2015” and WINNER’s logo under the text. The picture was followed with the caption, “[WINNER – ‘WWIC 2015’ TEASER #1] #WINNER #WWIC2015.” The boys made their long awaited debut earlier this year in August with “Empty,” and fans are already looking forward to what they have next in store for their comeback next year.

Both WINNER and EXO are groups that have gained an immense amount of attention for their talents and skills and have both respectively added to the Hallyu wave. Being a part of two of the “Big 3” companies has also managed to gain them attention prior to their debuts as they showed off their talents through countless teaser video releases or by appearing on survival programs such as Mnet‘s WIN: Who is Next. After their debuts, both groups have also managed to snag a good amount of music show wins and ranked #1 in music charts with their songs.  With 2015 approaching, fans can expect more releases with their comebacks, and they can also expect a good competition as the two popular groups go head to head in a battle of 2015 male idol group comebacks.

Stay tuned with Koreaboo for more comeback releases to come!
